Biography
Yu Hang (b. 1987, Jilin, China) studied at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts and currently lives and works in Shanghai.
His painting practice is grounded in sensibility. For the artist, painting constitutes a fundamentally sensory condition rather than a medium for concepts or explanations. It cannot be experienced through text alone but must be encountered directly. His work affirms the emotional intensity of vision, emphasizing painting as an immediate and affective experience.
