In March 2023, MANGROVEGALLERY launched the first solo exhibition in China of Italian artist Enzo Cucchi, along with his debut Chinese art book, “CASTAGNA.” Conceived by Enzo Cucchi himself and designed by huangyangdesign, the book showcases his latest imaginative and whimsical paintings, using special binding techniques. The volume opens with an account by Deng Binbin, the director of MANGROVEGALLERY, detailing his visit to Enzo Cucchi’s studio in Rome. It also includes conversations with several artists at the exhibition opening, aiming to introduce readers to the marvelous world of Enzo Cucchi, a leading figure in Italian ” Transavanguardia.”
