Nevin Aladağ

Biography

Nevin Aladağ was born in Van, Turkey in 1972. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Aladağ works in sculpture, performance and film, exploring the relationship between form, sound, and politics. She lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

Her works have been shown around the world in numerous international institutions, art museums, and biennial events, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (USA); the 57th Venice Biennale (Italy), Documenta 14 (Kassel, Germany; Athens, Greece); the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart (Germany); the Kunsthalle Basel (Switzerland); the Sharjah Biennial (United Arab Emirates); the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (Japan); the Haus der Kunst (Munich, Germany); the Hayward Gallery (London, UK); the Martin-Gropius-Bau (Germany); the 11th Istanbul Biennial (Turkey); the Centre Pompidou (Paris, France); the Sheikha Hoor al-Qasimi collection (Sharjah, UAE); the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart (Germany); the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (USA); the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art (Turkey); the Nationalgalerie (Berlin, Germany); and the Lehmbruck Museum (Germany).
