“In regard to Yu Hang himself, he is not fit to be an idol of the tribe. How could a person who does not take history as his purpose establish himself in the midst of group identity? It is precisely this resolute perfunctoriness that has concealed him in the illusory world of a kaleidoscope, rendering him a survivor of the tribe. In his creation at Cargo on this occasion, Yu Hang refrains from discussing exhibitions or expounding on meanings. He responds to the urge for painting in the form of installations, which are miniaturized into the passageway. All that is seen is but ‘illusion’.”
