MANGROVEGALLERY is honored to collaborate with the Nature Art Centre on the Artist Residency program. The ongoing residency features artist Wu Jiaru, whose studio will be open to the public from January 12 to 14. Visitors will have the opportunity to view the works created during the residency and engage with the artist.

A Silent Night with Coco. She walks through the city. Coco, a woman’s name, etched on the directoryand on her forehead. Only the blood of twenty years runs through her veins.

She navigates the unfamiliar, bustling chaos alone, as noise and heat waves strike her ears in unison.Her body curled up, focused on completing the one thousandth and first nail service, she then looksaround, the gloom sweeping over her like a tide, the pain unrelenting.

She can no longer bear the loneliness, lamenting, “What a difficult time this is!”
